134 LBR are SCHMETZ industrial sewing machine needles with a wide, slanted cutting point, designed for distinctive decorative seams on leather goods. The LBR point helps create a raised stitch line, with stitches angled slightly to the left.
Features of the LBR cutting point
LBR (Wide Reverse Twist Point) is a wide, slanted cutting point with a lenticular cross-section. It makes a cut at an angle of approximately 45° to the direction of needle penetration.
Unlike the standard LR cutting point, the cutting action of the LBR extends beyond the needle diameter. This creates a raised, decorative seam with a more pronounced stitch appearance.
SCHMETZ particularly recommends this cutting point for decorative seams that are an important part of a leather product's design.
Suitable materials and applications
- Various types of genuine leather.
- Leather garments with distinctive decorative topstitching.
- Leather bags and suitcases.
- Leather accessories with visible decorative seams.
- Leather upholstery and decorative finishing seams.

These needles are designed for industrial sewing machines whose technical documentation specifies the compatible 134 LBR needle system. Before purchasing, check that the needle's construction and NM size are suitable for your sewing machine.
