134 P, 135x8 NW are SCHMETZ industrial sewing machine needles with a narrow wedge cutting point, designed to create durable seams in leather. The P point helps produce a firm, even stitch line on shoes, bags, and other leather goods.
Features of the P cutting point
P (Narrow Wedge Point), also designated NW, is a narrow wedge-shaped cutting point with a lens-shaped cross-section. It creates a cut in the direction of needle penetration.
This cutting orientation helps create a very durable seam. The P cutting point is particularly suitable for products where seam strength is important.
P differs from LR and LL cutting points, whose cutting angles are designed to produce different stitch appearances.
Suitable materials and applications
- Various types of genuine leather.
- Leather shoes and shoe components.
- Leather bags and suitcases.
- Leather accessories.
- Leather upholstery for car seats.
- Leather goods that require durable seams.

Important: P is a leather cutting point. It is not a universal round point and may damage textile fibers. Before sewing, check the needle's suitability and seam strength on a material sample.
