Cotton loopback knit (French Terry) is a soft, comfortable, and slightly stretchy fabric with elastane in its composition.

 On one side, the fabric is smooth, while on the other side it has a small looped texture that adds extra comfort and warmth.

This fabric is ideal for sportswear, leisure outfits, hats, sweaters, pants, and children's clothing.

Loopback knit is breathable and ensures natural air circulation, making it a great choice for both cooler and warmer days. A practical and durable fabric with enough stretch for comfortable everyday wear.

Sewing tips:

When sewing with cotton knit, it is recommended to use Jersey or Stretch needles  if the knit is very stretchy, then it is recommended to use Super Stretch needles, which are specially designed for stretch fabrics. These needles have a rounded tip, allowing them to glide easily between knit fibers without damaging the fabric. Needle size usually depends on the thickness of the fabric, but for cotton knit the commonly suitable sizes are 70/10 or 80/12.
