How to sew cotton jersey?

When sewing stretch knit fabric, it is recommended to use a Jersey or Stretch sewing machine needle. For thinner and medium-weight jersey, a size 70/10 or 80/12 needle is usually suitable.

For seams, use a stretch stitch, narrow zigzag stitch, or overlock so the seam can stretch with the fabric and not tear when worn.

Before sewing, it is recommended to wash cotton jersey according to the care instructions for the specific fabric, as natural cotton fibers may shrink slightly after the first wash.
