Muslins (Double Gauze)It is 100% cotton fabric, consisting of two woven layers similar to cotton gauze. Muslin fabric is light, airy, skin-friendly, and soft. This fabric has excellent moisture-regulating properties, is breathable and air-permeable, yet not transparent. Its special structure allows it to be wrinkle-free and it dries very quickly.

Sewing tips:

• Needle: To sew muslin, we recommend using universal needlewith size 70/10 or 80/12. Needles of this size are fine enough not to damage the fabric texture, yet strong enough to ensure an even stitch.

• Thread:Choose polyester or cotton thread, depending on the desired durability of the project. Polyester will be more durable, while cotton thread will provide a more natural look.

• Sewing technique: Recommended to use a longer stitch (3.5-4 mm) to avoid fabric puckering.

• Edge treatment:Muslin is prone to slight fiber shedding, so it is recommended to use a zigzag or overlock stitch for edge finishing.

Note! To ensure an accurate and straight edge of the muslin fabric, we cut it along the grain (fabric thread) or tear it. This process helps maintain the fabric's structure and avoid distortions. Please take this characteristic into account when ordering fabric.
